Sydney pram crash driver pleads not guilty

A woman accused of being drunk when she drove into a middle-aged woman pushing a pram in western Sydney has pleaded not guilty to negligent driving.

Katherine Taylor, 48, on Tuesday pleaded guilty in Parramatta Local Court to mid-range drink driving however she denied the more serious charge of negligent driving.

Taylor was charged after allegedly hitting the 55-year-old who was pushing a pram on the side of the road at Ermington in October.

The pram contained a two-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl who both sustained injuries and had to be taken to hospital along with the woman.

Taylor was charged after allegedly blowing 0.09 - nearly two times the legal limit.
