Sydney mum arrested over cannabis house

A mother of four has been charged with cultivating cannabis after her Sydney home was raided and found to contain 58 cannabis plants.
The 43-year-old from Fairfield West on Tuesday was charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis and using electricity without authority.
Her children, aged between four and 16, were placed in the care of friends and the Department of Family and Community Services had been notified, NSW Police said in a statement.

Investigators uncovered 11 hydroponic cannabis houses across southwest Sydney during a two-day operation this week. In total, they seized more than 800 plants.
