Two men will face court after separate anti-terror raids in Sydney uncovered firearms and ammunition.

One man is due in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday charged with acquiring ammunition subject to a prohibition order.

The 33-year-old was arrested in Greenacre on Friday during one of several counter-terrorism raids across Sydney.

Also on Friday a 21-year-old man fronted Surry Hills Police Station and was arrested on firearms offences, after counter-terrorism police seized a rifle, two shotguns and a large amount of ammunition at a Condell Park house in Sydney's west on December 18.

He will appear in Parramatta Local Court on Saturday charged with a string of offences, including unauthorised firearm possession.

His arrest was part of Operation Appleby, which is investigating domestic terrorism and foreign incursions in Syria and Iraq.

The operation carried out the nation's biggest counter-terrorism operation in history across several Sydney suburbs last September.
