Sydney man charged over child porn

A man has been arrested at his home in Sydney's southwest and charged with possessing child-abuse material.

Police allege the 54-year-old man from Leumah used an internet site to share child-abuse files and upload images to the site, as well as post comments about children depicted there.

He was arrested on Friday morning at his home where detectives executed a search warrant and seized computers, external storage devices and a mobile phone for examination.

The man has been charged with one count of possessing child abuse material and was granted strict conditional bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on May 11.
