Sydney man charged over cannabis haul

Police say they have seized nearly 400 cannabis plants from a property in Sydney's west and charged a man with drug-related offences.

The charges were laid after police searched a home in Telopea on Wednesday morning and allegedly found methadone, amphetamine, cannabis seeds and cash in addition to 382 cannabis plants.

A 54-year-old man from Telopea was charged with three counts of possess prohibited drug, possessing it in commercial quantities, growing and selling the drug and possessing equipment for drug use.

He will appear at Parramatta Local Court on October 1, having been given conditional bail.
