A man has been charged with reckless wounding after another man was allegedly glassed in the kitchen of a restaurant in central Sydney.

The attack at the Clarence Street eatery happened after a fight between two staff members just after 1pm on Saturday, police say.

Officers were told a 24-year-old man was struck over the head with a bottle and then slashed on the cheek with the broken glass.
