A Sydney man has pleaded guilty to supplying ecstasy to a young woman who later died after the pair attended a music event.

Jordan Duffy, 19, did not appear at Newtown Local Court on Thursday, with his lawyer entering a plea of guilty to supplying a prohibited drug to the 21-year-old woman who died in June.

Duffy is accused of supplying three to four MDMA pills to the woman sometime between 11.30pm on Saturday, June 4 and 2.30am the next day.
