Sydney lawyer accused of dealing ice, GHB

A Sydney solicitor will spend the night behind bars, accused of dealing the drugs ice and GHB.

Police swooped on the 34-year-old at a Martin Place office on Thursday following a two-month investigation into an alleged drug ring.

Investigators will allege the man sold a total of 500ml of gamma-hydroxybutyrate and 13.8 grams of methylamphetamine to undercover officers between July 30 and August 13.

It's alleged the lawyer had three grams of methamphetamines, an `ice' pipe, scales, numerous resealable plastic bags, and a large amount of cash on him at the time of his arrest.

A search of his Newtown home allegedly turned up an electronic stun gun and a liquid believed to be GHB.

The 34-year-old was refused bail to face Central Local Court on Friday on charges of drug dealing and possession, resisting arrest, dealing in proceeds of crime, and possessing a prohibited weapon.

Another man, 25, was arrested during a related police raid on a Kings Cross apartment on Thursday.

He has been charged with offences including supplying a prohibited drug, and was refused bail to front Central Local Court on Friday.
