Sydney driver flees power pole crash

A Sydney driver is on the run after ploughing into a power pole and bringing down hazardous electrical wires.

Emergency services were called to Newbridge Road at Chipping Norton around 4am on Saturday following reports of a prang.

The driver is still unaccounted for, with the street shut down for several hours while crews clean up the messy smash and investigators piece together what happened.
