Sydney car search yields drugs, weapons

Methylamphetamine, cocaine, cash, a machete, a knife and fraudulent documents have allegedly been seized from a car that police stopped in an inner Sydney suburb.

Police say a 52-year-old man has been charged with drug, fraud and weapon offences after they searched him and the car in Redfern on Wednesday afternoon.

He was refused bail to face Central Local Court on Thursday.
