'Suspicious' fire damages Newcastle home

A Newcastle home has been severely damaged by what police believe was a deliberately-lit fire.
The single-storey house was well alight when emergency services were called to the property on Ada Street, Waratah early on Sunday.
No one was in the house at the time.

A crime scene has been established and police say they are treating the fire as suspicious.
