Students join NSW Opal concession ride
AAP
More than 80,000 NSW students will join in on cheaper public transport fares, taking advantage of the new concession Opal card.
TAFE students, apprentices and trainees who were previously restricted to concession tickets between home and the workplace are now eligible to purchase concession fares for travel at any time.
The NSW government said most paper public transport tickets will be phased out from January 1.
