Stolen Sydney war medals recovered

Police responding to a noise complaint have uncovered war medals stolen from a Sydney home.

The officers searched a car in Denman Avenue, Wiley Park on Thursday night, also finding parts of a gun.

The medals were stolen during a break and enter in Clio Street, Wiley Park, in March.

A 15-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy were arrested but have been released pending inquiries.

Cannabis, cash and mobile phones were seized from a second car.

Investigations are ongoing.
