Stolen ashes returned to NSW family
AAP
A Blue Mountains family is overjoyed after getting back a stolen urn of ashes on the anniversary of their loved one's death.
The ashes, which were taken during a break-in at the family home in Springwood last week, were found among other items in bushland in western Sydney on Sunday by a passer-by who handed them into police.
Police are continuing their inquiries into the robbery.
