A $6000 diamond ring allegedly stolen from a Sydney home on the weekend has been recovered in northern NSW, with a man charged over the incident.

The ring, a $15,000 motorbike reportedly stolen from a Schofields property in Sydney's west last year, as well as high-end electronic equipment was discovered at a rural home on the outskirts of Kempsey on Tuesday, police said.

A 29-year-old man wanted on outstanding arrest warrant was at the home and since been charged.

Police allege the Lismore man also broke into a veterinary practice near Byron Bay in April.

He's been granted conditional bail and is due to face Kempsey Local Court on June 18.
