Stand-off in Sydney's west ends

A man has been arrested after holding police at bay for three hours during a stand-off in Sydney's west.
Police were called to Excelsior St, Guildford about 11.30am on Monday after a man threatened a member of the public.
Police could not confirm if a weapon was involved.

Negotiators and tactical police surrounded the house for about three hours until the man was arrested.
He has been taken to Westmead Hospital.
