Staffer threatened with knife in Sydney

A female employee has been threatened with a knife during an armed robbery at a supermarket on Sydney's North Shore.

Police say a man wearing a balaclava entered the store in Lindfield late on Tuesday night and produced a knife, before demanding cash from the attendant.

The man left the store after being handed a bag of cash and remains on the run.
