Seven charged over NSW train attack

A woman and six men have been charged over the assault of several people on a train in Newcastle last month.
A 19-year-old woman, two 18-year-old men, two 19-year-old men and two 20-year-old men were charged on Saturday with various offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company, affray, common assault and offensive conduct.
The seven are accused of assaulting a 47-year-old man on a Telarah-bound train on Sunday June 1, as well as several other people who came to his aid.

The woman and six men are expected to appear at Newcastle Local Court on August 28.
Police are trying to locate another man to lay further charges.
