Missing swimmer found dead

A search for a swimmer missing in the Snowy Mountains has come to an end after his body was found.

Police divers and Marine Rescue NSW located the 44-year-old's body in Lake Eucumbene about 12.40pm on Monday.

His family had not seen him since New Year's Day when he went swimming.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
