Salim Mehajer arrested in Ibiza

Property developer and former Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer has reportedly been arrested in Ibiza after a heated argument with a taxi driver over spilled food and drink.

Footage aired by the Nine Network's A Current Affair showed Mehajer and two of his friends being handcuffed and bundled into Spanish police vehicles on Friday evening local time.

The flamboyant former councillor and businessman is no stranger to controversy, amid his raft of ongoing legal battles and rumoured recent split from his bride Aysha only a year after walking down the aisle.
