Roosters star on assault charges
Roosters centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall has been charged with a range of assault offences after an apprehended violence order was filed against him by former partner Jessica Peris.
Peris, the daughter of Olympic gold medallist and now federal senator Nova Peris, attended Maroubra Police Station late on Thursday night to apply for the AVO.
Police say a 28-year-old man was charged with 10 offences on Saturday morning, including six of common assault, one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and damaging property.
It's alleged the offences occurred between 10 October last year and June 24 2015.
The pair split about three weeks ago, after living together for 18 months.
Comment is being sought from the Roosters.
