Women killed in NSW head-on collision

A woman has died and two others have been taken to hospital after a collision in Wilton, south of Sydney.

It's believed the two cars crashed head-on while driving on Picton Road.

The female driver of one car was dead when officers arrived on Tuesday evening, while her female passenger was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The male driver of the other car was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

It was the second death on NSW roads on Tuesday, after a truck driver died when his semi-trailer ploughed into a house in Sofala, near Bathurst.

It's believed the truck rolled on its side before crashing into the house, which was unoccupied at the time, causing significant damage to the home, police said.
