Ram-raid goes wrong in western Sydney

A group of would-be thieves has made an embarrassing getaway after the car they used to ram-raid a western Sydney shopping centre became stuck.

A black 4WD smashed through the glass doors of the Wentworthville shopping complex at 2.40am on Thursday.

Unable to dislodge their vehicle, witnesses reported seeing a group of men later flee the scene in a white van.
