Police pull guns on knife-wielding teen

Police drew their guns to stop a teenage boy who was wielding two knives near a Mount Druitt shopping centre, in Sydney's west.

The 17-year-old had allegedly been threatening a taxi driver with kitchen knives when the police were called on Tuesday evening.

The teen then allegedly ran from police towards a local shopping centre and train station before police pulled their service revolvers to get the teenager to drop the weapons.

The teenager has been charged.
