Police probing doctor's murder find man's body

Police investigating the murder of a female doctor found stabbed to death in her NSW home have found the body of a 54-year-old man.

Police made the discovery at a property at Wolgan Valley, west of Sydney, while investigating the death of the woman who died at nearby Lithgow this morning.

The 46-year-old woman was found unconscious in her home by her two teenage sons around 8am (AEST).

The 13- and 18-year-olds contacted emergency services who rushed to the home but were unable to save the woman who died at the scene.

A short time ago investigators found the body of a 54-year-old man at a property on Wolgan Valley Rd.

The man's death is not being treated as suspicious.
