NSW hit and run turns fatal

A pedestrian has died following a hit and run in northern NSW.

Police say the 60-year-old man was hit by an older-model, white-coloured sedan about 10.45pm on Saturday in Inverell.

The driver failed to stop and the man died in hospital on Sunday morning, police say.
