Police officer hit by car during RBT stop

A police officer has been injured after he was hit by a car while conducting a random breath test in Sydney's north.
The officer sustained suspected hip injuries when another vehicle crashed into the rear of a highway patrol car on Warringah Road in Forestville at about 8.45pm (AEST) on Sunday.
The male sergeant and the driver of the car were both taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.

Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation are investigating the crash.
