Police hunt trio who held up Sydney pub with axe and machete

Police are hunting for three men who held up a Sydney hotel with an axe and a machete late last night.
The trio entered the pub on Stanmore Road in Petersham last night just after 11pm and demanded cash from a staff member.
The men, who had covered their faces, fled in a dark-coloured Subaru station wagon being driven by a fourth person that travelled west on Stanmore Road.

Police haves established a crime scene at the hotel while specialist forensic officers are also investigating.
