Police Facebook traps crazy NSW road users

Riding a motorbike with an open umbrella, balancing a swing set on a ute or hanging a BBQ out of the boot could get you snapped on a police Facebook page.

Road users are snapping pictures of unusual or dangerous loads and uploading them to the NSW police's Loadfail page.

The traffic page has attracted more than 200,000 likes in three years and posts from users all over the world.

Sometimes it gets people arrested.

"It's almost every minute of every day," Chief Inspector Phillip Brooks told AAP.

He said #Loadfail was highlighting road safety for everyone.

"What we are trying to impress upon people is they shouldn't tolerate poor driving," he said.

Among the posts are photos of motorcycle riders texting, children without seatbelts and even huge dinosaur sculptures strapped onto trucks.
