Police close down Nomads clubhouse
Police have dismantled a clubhouse belonging to the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang in Muswellbrook, in northern NSW.
Officers from the Gangs Squad, along with local police and the police dog unit executed a search warrant and dismantled the clubhouse.
They seized alcohol, a bar, gang colours and paraphernalia, as well as various other items in the raid.
Hunter Valley Local Area Commander, Superintendent Steven Clarke, said police across the region are working to reduce the impact of motorcycle gang activities.
"Highly-visible and high-impact operations like this are part of our ongoing strategies to target and disrupt the activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs and their associates," Clarke said.
"This will be complemented by a range of other overt and covert strategies led by the Gangs Squad."
