Pistol, rifle found in NSW man's car, home

A NSW man is set to face court after a cache of guns and drugs were allegedly discovered inside his home and car.

The 26-year-old was arrested in Bathurst on Thursday night after reports of an argument, before a pistol and drugs believed to be ice were found inside his car, and an automatic rifle unearthed at his nearby home.

He was refused bail to front Bathurst Local Court on Friday after being slapped with a string of charges.

Meanwhile, another NSW man is behind bars after an arsenal of weapons was discovered inside a ute found abandoned in Wagga Wagga following a police chase.

A rifle, revolver and ammunition were plucked from the dumped car by officers on Wednesday night.

A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody to face weapons charges at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Friday.
