Train commuters have been warned to brace for heavy delays after a person's death in western Sydney.

The death occurred at Clyde, about 20km west of Sydney, around 9am on Friday.

Passengers on the T1, T2 and Blue Mountains lines have been told to allow plenty of extra travel time, while the T6 Carlingford line is partially closed between Rosehill and Clyde, with buses to replace train services.
