Sydney man, 96, dies after hit by car

A 96-year-old Sydney man hit by a car in the northern suburbs has died in hospital.
Police say an 89-year-old woman was reversing out of her driveway in Beacon Hill on Friday morning when she struck the man, who was walking along the road.
The man was taken in a critical condition to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he later died, and the woman was taken to Manly Hospital for mandatory testing.

On Friday night, a pedestrian also died after being struck by a car on the NSW Princes Motorway.
The 32-year-old man was walking on the motorway at Dunmore when he was struck by the car.
He died at the scene.
