NSW pedestrian struck by car critical

A mystery man is fighting for his life after being struck by a car on a busy Sydney road.
Police have still not been able to identify the man, believed to be a jogger, who was hit as he crossed Canterbury Road in Punchbowl on Sunday afternoon.
Nearby officers immediately blocked traffic and performed first aid on the man until paramedics arrive.

He was taken to St George Hospital with serious head injuries and has been placed in an induced coma.
The driver was questioned by police and taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
