Pair charged over violent row on NSW train

Police have tracked down a man and a teenager who allegedly fought over noise levels on a NSW train.

Officers say the 62-year-old confronted a group of youths who repeatedly refused to quieten down between Dapto and Wollongong.

The Monday morning row continued when the train pulled up at Wollongong station.

Footage taken by a witness and posted on Fairfax media shows a violent altercation between the pair on the platform.

The 16-year-old has been issued a future court attendance notice to appear at a children's court.

The man has been charged with common assault and affray and is due before Port Kembla Local Court on November 3.
