A provisional driver charged with hitting two people in Sydney's inner west after he mounted the kerb has had his charges upgraded after the second pedestrian died.
Jarad Smith, 22, now faces two counts of dangerous driving after he allegedly mounted the kerb of Victoria Road, Rozelle, killing 47-year-old Catherine Pracy before attempting to flee on New Year's Eve last year.
Sydney's Central Local Court on Tuesday heard Smith's charges were upgraded after the death of the second pedestrian, 49-year-old Gary Kelley.
