Overnight garage fire in Sutherland deemed suspicious

A garage fire at a property in Sutherland in Sydney’s south is being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to the home shortly after 2am this morning after residents, who had been woken by a barking dog, found their garage was on fire.

Fire and rescue crews were able to extinguish the blaze, however the building and its entire contents was destroyed.

Police are investigating.
