Fire fighters control grass fire burning in Hilltops region, New South Wales

A grass fire burning in the town of Harden has been controlled. (NSW RFS)
A powerful grass fire has been controlled in the township of Harden, located in the South West Slopes region.
An emergency warning for a 30 hectare blaze on Jack Ward Drive, Harden, has been downgraded to advice, the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) said.

Fire fighters have contained the fire and the immediate threat to homes has eased, the NSW RFS advised.
Residents have been told to monitor conditions closely.
