Ornamental axes among alleged illegal weapons haul found in Sydney home
Two men are due in court after police allegedly found a stash of illegal weapons at a house in Sydney’s west.
Police say they found two rifles and ammunition, a shortened rifle, two revolvers, two crossbows and bolts, nunchucks, mace, a high-powered laser device, knuckle-dusters, a throwing knife, a spear gun, ornamental battle axes and daggers at a unit on Rodley Avenue, Penrith.

A combat knife, air pistols, air rifles, Gel Blasters, cash, and allegedly stolen property were also found following a search warrant at 7pm yesterday.
Two men – aged 27 and 43 – were arrested at the home and taken to Penrith Police Station.
The 27-year-old was charged with 59 offences relating to firearms, prohibited weapons, drug supply and dealing with stolen property.

The 43-year-old was charged with goods in custody suspected being stolen, and possess housebreaking implements.
They were both refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 8 today.
