NSWRL blames hackers for explicit tweet
AAP
NSW Rugby League has apologised for posting a sexually-explicit image to its Twitter account during Sunday night's NRL grand final.
It retweeted a photo from pornography site Pornhub to its 51,000 followers, blaming hackers for the incident.
"Sincere apologies for recent unusual activity - our account had been hacked. Normal service now resumed," NSWRL tweeted.

The organisation said the retweet was deleted less than a minute after being posted and it is investigating the incident to determine if foul play was involved, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Several Twitter users made light of the situation, suggesting it was a case of human error.
