NSW woman stabbed in the neck during home invasion

A woman is in serious condition after being stabbed in the neck in an attack by two men at a NSW Central Coast home.
Police were called to the Bateau Bay home just before 6.30pm on Friday (AEST) and found the 46-year-old woman in the backyard suffering from a large knife wound.
She was taken to hospital, where she underwent surgery and remains in a serious condition.

She told police she was confronted by two men who demanded money before attacking her at the home.
It's believed the home had been ransacked, but it wasn't known if any items were stolen.
