NSW woman hit by car while changing tyre

A woman has been struck by a car while changing her tyre on the side of the road in central NSW.

The 37-year-old was putting the tyre into the back of her car on the Olympic Highway near Wagga Wagga on Saturday morning when she was struck by a car travelling in the same direction, police say.

She was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition while the 39-year-old female driver of the second car was also taken to hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
