NSW woman critical after nail gun attack

A 50-year-old woman is fighting for life after her stepson allegedly attacked her with a nail gun in western Sydney on Christmas night.
The woman was struck twice in the head with projectiles from the gun during an altercation with her 20-year-old stepson at their Bonnyrigg Heights home about 10.30pm.
She was rushed to Liverpool Hospital for emergency surgery and is now in a critical condition.

The 20-year-old fled the house but was arrested early on Wednesday morning.
He has been charged over the attack and will appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Thursday.
