NSW sports volunteer punched in face

A rugby league tournament volunteer has been knocked out by another man in northern NSW.
The 57-year-old was volunteering at the game in Ballina on Sunday when an unknown man punched him in the face and knocked him out, police said in a statement.
He was taken to Lismore Base Hospital as a precaution and police continue to search for the attacker.
