NSW shark attacks quadruple since 2014

SHARK ATTACK FACTS:
* There have been 13 shark attacks in NSW so far this year. There were three in 2014.
* NSW has had more than 70 per cent of all shark attacks nationally.

* Since August 2014 there have been 12 attacks between Port Macquarie and Byron Bay, the latest occurred south of Port Macquarie.
* There has been only one fatal attack in NSW in 2015 when 41-year-old surfer Tadashi Nakahara had his legs bitten off in an attack at Shelly Beach near Ballina.
