NSW Opal cards available on the spot

Opal cards will now be available from transport hubs and shopping centres as the NSW government pushes people to switch before some paper tickets are scrapped.
Pensioners are being urged to pick up a Gold Opal Card in person before the January 1 deadline, when many tickets including the Pensioner Excursion Ticket will become obsolete.
People will be able to buy all Opal Cards from retailers and major shopping centres until December 18.
