A man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing another man to death in a fight on the NSW South Coast.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Moss Street and Brereton Street in Nowra about 5.45pm yesterday.

Police alleged the two men, who knew each other, were involved in an altercation before one of the men was stabbed in the torso.
