A man who allegedly tried to injure himself while talking to officers inside a northern NSW police station has been tasered.
It's alleged the 45-year-old pulled out a sharp object and began to injure himself after he walked into Newcastle Police Station on Thursday evening.
He was tasered and restrained immediately, police say.
