NSW man dies when car strikes power pole

A NSW man has died and another has suffered multiple injuries after the car they were passengers in hit a power pole.

The sedan carrying three young men from western Sydney, all aged in their 20s, struck the pole and brought down power lines on Sunday night at Londonderry.

The driver escaped serious injury but his passenger in front sustained multiple injuries and is in hospital in a stable condition.

A young man in the back seat had critical injuries and died at the scene.
