NSW man dies after tank collapse

A man has died after being trapped in a concrete water tank at a property on the NSW mid-north coast.

The 39-year-old was demolishing the tank on his Wherrol Flat farm, 30km northwest of Taree, when the roof collapsed and trapped him at about 5pm on Wednesday.

Family and neighbours commenced CPR but emergency services were unable to revive the man and he died at the scene.
